How To Make A Serious Income Online Without A Website!

by: Joe Clare
Did you know that eBay gets over 1.8 Billion (yes that's Billion with a B) page views per month, and moves over $15 Billion a year in merchandise? It is the 4th most visited site on the Internet, and at the time of this writing has sites in 26 countries worldwide. So do you eBay? I do! And, thousands worldwide are taking advantage of the Goldmine on eBay. Shouldn't you? If the idea of turning your lose change into hundreds of dollars appeals to you, then keep reading.

The great thing about operating an eBay Auction Business is you don't need a website to make money online and it allows you the freedom of working at home. And currently over 400,000 people are doing just that. Working at home, and making a full-time income, online without a website with their eBay Auction Business. Have you ever wondered if you could be a successful eBayer? Have you ever asked yourself... "How do they do it?" or "Where do they find all their "Hot Merchandise?". Well, here's an insight from my book "eBay Marketing Wholesale SourcePak" into how to start your eBay Auction Business from Home on a Shoe String Budget using Dropshippers.

Using Dropshippers is a smart way to get your eBay Auction Business up and running especially in the beginning. By using Dropshippers you will not have to worry about storage of costly inventory, packaging of inventory, or the shipping of inventory. Your Dropshipper will look after all of that for you. And with the ease of using Dropshippers you will have more time to concentrate on improving your sales skills and learning how to bring more customers to your eBay Auctions.

The fact is, most Dropshippers charge you nothing to become a member to sell their products. While others may charge just a nominal administration fee. Plus, you can list your item on eBay for approximately .35 cents. So, as you can see your eBay Auction Business will cost you very little to get started. With such a low financial risk the only thing you have to lose is a bit of your time.

At this point you might be wondering how Dropshipping on eBay would work. It's a simple process. First you should browse eBay to find an item(s) you would like to sell. Then become an eBay member. Once you have an item(s) you are interested in selling, locate a Dropshipper for that item(s). Sign up with the Dropshipper. Now, list an auction on eBay for the item(s).

Once your auction is over and you have a buyer, email your Dropshipper the required information. Your Dropshipper will then send the item(s) directly to your customer and charge your account the wholesale price for the item(s). The difference between the wholesale price and your retail price is pure profit!

All successful eBayers know that they must sell what the public is wanting to buy at a price the public is willing to pay for it. So research your item thoroughly. Know what your cost will be, and approximately what you can sell the item for before you decide to sell it.

Happy Selling!

How to Legally Sell an Affiliate Product on eBay

by: Brian McGregor
If you're involved as an affiliate for any product, you've probably wrestled with how you can sell the product on eBay.

After all, eBay offers you a massive potential audience of 147 million members. And people who read about your product will likely have found it by searching thus saying they are interested in the product area in which your product resides.

The bad news, however, is that there is no easy way to market affiliate products on eBay!

First of all, if you haven't heard of affiliate selling, here's a very quick description of how it works.

Fundamentally, selling an affiliate product requires that you get interested buyers to click on a special link. This link takes the person to the product owner's sales page. More importantly, the link also contains your unique affiliate code - it is this code which ensures that sales made from your introductions are recorded in your affiliate account. Finally, if your prospect purchases the product, it is the owner who handles product delivery and who also you with your sales commission payment.

On eBay, you could easily set up an auction saying how marvellous your affiliate product is. You will certainly attract a number of people who would be interested in buying. The problem is, you have no legitimate way of selling it to eBay members! It's against eBay's rules to have a link in your auction page which takes your readers away to another website to make a sale.

Also, if you think about it, you don't have the affiliate product to deliver. There's no mechanism for you to make the sale on eBay, and deliver the product. If you recall, this is handled automatically by the product owner.

So here are two ways in which you can tap into the eBay market with your affiliate products.

1. The Simple System
You create an auction which explains the benefits of the affiliate product you're promoting.
What do you offer on your eBay auction for the affiliate product? You sell the information on where to get hold of this superb product. And you sell these details for just one penny.

Whenever someone "buys" your information, you send them an email saying thank you for your purchase. You then explain they don't really need to send you a penny, and here is the link to the fantastic product in which they've expressed an interest.

Of course, the link is YOUR affiliate link.

By the way, in your auction description page please think of a new angle for the product. You'll find almost everybody who is an affiliate for any popular product will be using the suggested sales material supplied by the product owner.

This means that you just appear to be one of many, and the standard sales pitch will be littering the internet. Your interested purchaser has probably seen some of these already. Why should they take notice of your one penny auction for the same product?

Lace your auction description with personal and credible information about the product, and you will get some of those prospective buyers to go with you. Incidentally, you could find that your one penny auctions are removed by eBay. After all, a one penny auction doesn't bring eBay very much by way of listing or final value fee.

If this happens to you, you could try system 2 below, and you can also place your one penny auction on other auction sites such as Yahoo, Amazon, QXL etc

2. The Not as Simple System
With this system, you need to do a little research before you launch your eBay auction for your affiliate product.

The objective here is to create a package of items which are related to your affiliate products, and which you auction at 0.99 cents or pence.

First off, you need to create a 2 or 3 page report about your affiliate product. Ideally this should be based on your personal experience with the product. Failing that, it should be written in your own personal style. The key point is that it must include your affiliate link to the product.

The next step is to find other items for your "package", you do this by using Google search to locate related free products. Let's suppose you're an affiliate for an ebook which teaches how to paint and draw figures. On Google you would search for something like "figure drawing" free.

It took me under 10 minutes to locate the following freebies:
Photographing Your Artwork (free ebook)
3D Figure Drawing Studio software (free trial)
How to Sell Your Art (free newsletter)

And there are many more you could unearth given a little more research time. Be a little careful in your selection - you don't want to give away something which will compete with your affiliate ebook.

Having found your items, what you now do is bundle them up and add them to your 2/3 page report. You then create an auction which offers the whole package for 99 cents or pence.

There's no way eBay can possibly object to this auction.
As you can see, all it really takes to get your affiliate product in front of eBay's massive market place is a little creativity.

How to Help Google Make up its Mind

by: Diane Nassy
As an AdSense sponsoring web site, your goal is to have contextually relevant ads displayed whenever a visitor comes to your site. That’s the goal, and it sounds simple enough, but sometimes it seems that Google is bent on not cooperating with you in the least.

If there are times when your web site is displaying apparently random ads which have no relevance to your site at all or worse, it’s displaying non-revenue Public Service Ads (PSA), then that’s a sign that you need to work harder to help Google make up its mind.

Google uses a pretty effective set of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to sniff the content on your site so it can serve up the most relevant ads out of its extensive inventory. However, since no humans are involved in this process, it’s actually pretty easy to lead the poor spider down the wrong path.

It’s not enough to simply depend upon your site’s keywords to pull the right ads from Google; you have to pay attention to the context in which the key words are used as well or you could get some surprises.

For example, suppose that you have some text on your page that reads “I love Guns ‘N Roses”. There is a good chance that you will either end up with PSAs, because “Guns” is a known Google “stop” word that triggers PSAs, or ads from 1-800-Flowers thanks to the key word “Roses”. But if you modify your content slightly to have it read something like “I love the heavy metal and hard rock bands like Guns ‘N Roses”, then you should start pulling ads that match your site’s theme.

The words “heavy metal” and “hard rock” are called supporting keywords. Their job is to help define the context that the actual key word is being used in. When the Google spiders are fed both supporting and actual key words they are better able to make the right decisions on your behalf.

The position of your key words also plays a part in pulling the right ads. Words that are closer to the top of the page have more “weight” than those that appear farther down. Tags are also important. H1 and H 2 tags have a higher precedence over P tags, and B tags are significant as well.

The key to getting the right ads to appear on your site is to fine-tune the supporting key words and tweak your tags until you are seeing what you want to see. Once you reach that goal, you can read our article on Smart Ways to Attract Higher Paying AdSense Ads, and Tips for Maximizing Your Google AdSense Revenues for even better results.

Sometimes it seems that the Google spider is doing all it can to not get along with you. The next time you have that thought, stop to consider the possibility that the Google spider is having the same thoughts about you!

How to get the best shopping deals over the Internet?

by: Charles Norton
Online shopping has taken over the Internet by storm where convenience and simplicity has replaced, or at least complimented, more conventional shopping in specialty stores or malls. Although the shopping experience has always been fun and a stress reliever for many, online shopping has become so much the norm that it is actually possible to get products at different prices through different websites. In fact, expert online shoppers will also be able to tell you how and which sites you should visit get great bargains.

Price comparison websites
Over the Internet, shoppers can visit portals like Shopzilla.com, PriceGrabber.com, Froogle.com and Bizrate.com to conduct price comparisons. These sites compile price information from other websites that are selling the items that you are looking for. Therefore, instead of visiting a range of websites to compare prices on your own, you can do this in just one virtual location!

Online Coupons
It’s amazing that many deals that can be found through conventional shopping methods, have a similar virtual version as well. If you are in the habit of cutting up discount coupons, you can do the same when you do your shopping online. Sites like 247malls.com and MonkeyBargains.com feature special coupons from hundreds of online stores in which you can run a search by store or by a specific product.

Visit store websites first
Make the Internet your first point of reference before you visit actual brick and mortar establishments. Most large stores have their own shopping websites which may offer a similar product at a lower price when purchased online. This may be possible through online only discounts or no sales tax charged. Additionally, you can opt for in-store pickups and gain free shipping on top of your special price. This way, you don’t have to spend time visiting different physical stores comparing prices but get the best price out of the internet.

Ebay.com has always been one of the best sites to go to get good items at great prices. The good thing about Ebay is that you can actually bid with a price that you are comfortable paying for the item that you want. Also, you can locate many sellers for specific products that you are seeking, and you may be surprised how the price can vary between one seller and another. Seller ratings on the site depict the credibility of the sellers and you can also read customer reviews on their seller performance and experience with individual buyers.

User Opinion Reviews
Before you make a purchase, you may want to surf over the Internet so seek reviews of other buyers who have purchased the same product as you. For example, Epinions.com has reviews of practically anything that you want to buy, from electronic items to movies. With great customer review system TripAdvisor.com and HotelClub.net will help you choose the best hotel for your money. At last if you want to know what others have to say about a website that you are visiting then Alexa.com or Discount-Search.com will help you with their extensive website ratings. Going through other people’s experiences and rating will definitely help you make a better decision on your purchase.

Put your ship date forward
With the Internet, you can shop all the time the whole year round. There is no need to rush for Christmas or holiday shopping with other shoppers, as some stores allow items to be shipped out at a specified date. This way, you can preorder your stuff during store promotions or clearance sale and get it sent to you in time for Christmas.

Online shopping has made a tremendous difference in consumer behavior. How to Find the Hottest Products to Sell on eBay

by: Brian McGregor
Most people who sell on eBay would like to be in the position of selling highly sought after items. But how do you know which products are the ones that are in high demand?

You might not have realised it, but eBay itself has several ways for you to determine exactly what these items are! In fact eBay gives you four ways to do this. Whilst this data is only available on ebay.com, depending on the categories in which you operate, the information may well be of interest no matter which eBay country site you use.

Items In Demand
In this part of Seller Central, you will find each of the main categories is listed. If you scroll down, you will see within each category area there is a heading of In Demand. If you click on this, you will see what are the most popular items currently within that particular category. To see the In Demand page, go to http://pages.ebay.com/sellercentral/sellbycategory.html

Hot Items by Category Report
eBay produces a monthly report called the "Hot Items by Category" report. This report lists the fastest growing categories on eBay for the previous month. The explanation for what eBay considers "hot" can be hard to understand on first reading. The important matter is that the categories listed are ones where buyer demand for the items under those categories are growing fastest. This report is a PDF file. You can view it on your browser, or download it and open it with Adobe Reader. Go to http://pages.ebay.com/sellercentral/whatshot.html and select "Hot Items by Category" from the menu on the left.

eBay Pulse
This is an area on eBay where you can find "a daily snapshot of current trends, hot picks, and cool stuff on eBay". With eBay Pulse you can get this information by category, or across eBay.com as a whole. Go to http://pulse.ebay.com/ to see eBay Pulse in action.

Merchandising Calendar
eBay promotes specific categories on its home page each month. Savvy eBayers know that this home page exposure results in more interest in such categories. Fortunately, thanks to eBay's Merchandising Calendar, you can know in advance which categories are going to be featured in each month. Thus you can be prepared with appropriate auction items, ready to take advantage of the increased traffic in these categories. Go to http://pages.ebay.com/sellercentral/calendar.html to view the current Merchandising Calendar.

I hope this insight into eBay's services helps in your selling.

How To Convert eBay Surfers into Bidders!

by: Joe Clare
Do you know the phrase "A Call To Action"? Well, using "A Call To Action" on your eBay Auction could help increase your sales almost immediately. As outlined in my book "eBay Marketing Wholesale SourcePak" having the right product, at the right price is crucial. But, what else can you do to entice those eBay surfers to become a bidder? Here is one key factor anyone can implement on their auctions to help increase their sales - it's called " A Call To Action!"

Some of you may be asking "What is "A Call To Action?" Well it's a simple phrase that you would add to your auction description. This phrase should tell your potential bidder what they should do next. I know what your thinking, "Don't they know what to do next?" But really, you do need to tell people what it is you expect them to do. You can not depend on or assume that an auction surfer is automatically going to become a bidder without telling him/her what you want them to do. You need to come right out and tell them to buy. And why they should buy. Here are some examples of phrases you could use to entice that potential bidder to take action now and make a bid.

- Bid Now! Save Money!
- Buy Now and Save on Shipping!
- Bid Now! Don't Miss This Incredible Deal!
- Buy Now! Quantities are Limited!
- Bid Now! One Of A Kind!
- Bid Now! Collectors Item!

You get the idea. If you have what that surfer is looking for any of the above phrases will entice him/her to make a bid now. And this method is not something new. Retail stores have been using this for years. You know any of the big sales where the advertisement says something like "And don't wait, Quantities are Limited!" This method is time tested. Some experts report you can increase your sales by 50% simply by telling those who are just surfing your auction page what you want them to do.

You can also use more then one call to action. And use them for different reasons in your auction. Say you use one of the above. Bid Now! One of a Kind! But what if this surfer is not interested in this item for auction. Well, don't let him/her leave without inviting him/her to view your other auctions. Say something like "If you don't see what you are looking for here - please visit my other auctions" and create a link to your other auctions, possibly your "me page" which lists all the auctions you have running.

Try this method on your next auction.

Happy Selling!

How to Build Customer Trust in your Auctions!

by: Joe Clare
Whether you realize it or not you may be giving your auction visitors a reason not to buy your product or service. And it could be just the smallest of issues that will cause them to think twice about purchasing from your auction. As explained in my book "eBay Marketing Wholesale SourcePak" you must remove these obstacles from your auction sales page so your visitors will become bidders. Below you'll find some obstacles and how you can solved them on your auction page.

Is This Seller Trustworthy?
This is a question that all your serious auction visitors will ask themselves. As they do not know you they are going to want to check you out. But how will they do this? Well, the first thing they would look for is your feedback rating. Feedback is a way eBay allows buyers and sellers to rate their experiences with each other. If you have a stellar feedback rating your visitor will feel you are trustworthy. Your goal should be to increase your auction feedback and keep it positive.

Another way a visitor might check to see if you are trustworthy is to click over to your about "Me Page". The about "Me Page" is a page you can create in your eBay account. It allows you to give your potential bidders some background information about you and your business. You can also include your feedback and other listed auctions on this page as well. This is where you have a chance to tell your potential bidder about yourself and your business, why he/she should buy from you. I would highly recommend you take advantage of this and create an about "Me Page" in your eBay account.

Also people may have questions regarding your auction. So you could get an email asking about your product or service. You should welcome this opportunity as a way to show your potential bidder you are a real person. Take this time to show your integrity, honesty, credibility, and expertise in your product or service. Include on your auction page an email link and tell your visitors that any inquires are welcome.
What About A Guarantee?

You always need some sort of guarantee for your product or service. Again it will help to show your visitor you are a trustworthy business person. Remember that your buyer assumes most of the risk here. He/she is buying from someone that they have never met, a product that they have only seen in a photo, and they must pay for that product in advance of receiving it. A guarantee that is appropriate for your product or service will help your visitor become a bidder.

How Do I Pay?
The more options you have for payment the more visitors will become bidders. There are many means of payment. The normal being PayPal. PayPal is an eBay company so having a PayPal payment button on your auction is an easy and free option to include on your auction sales page. But besides PayPal you may want to consider excepting other payment options as well..

What About Delivery?
Always fully disclose how your product or service is delivered and your delivery charge. Whether you are sending it via the postal service or a courier your bidder will want to know how he/she should expect to receive the purchase and what the cost will be. You can usually approximate deliver time and cost based on information you obtain from your local post office or courier.

If you answer the above questions on your auction page you will be building customer trust and he/she is more likely to become a bidder. And more bidders means more profits for you!

Happy Selling!

How To Boost Your Marketing Campaign With Visitor Tracking

by: Mal Keenan
Who cares, as long as they visit your site, right?

Wrong!

It is a fact that traffic, or the number of people who visit your site, could make or break an online business. After all, we cannot sell our products if no one would get to know about them. The problem is, most webmasters would rather concentrate on generating more traffic by dabbling in countless marketing strategies instead of honing a particular one to perfection. The former is susceptible to new risks, while the latter eliminates old problems for improved performance. Clearly, tweaking your site is the way to go. And you could do this efficiently with the aid of visitor tracking.

Visitor tracking has long been hailed as a science, and for good reasons! The accurate findings that visitor tracking can provide is the key to creating a site that is both friendly to everyone who would grace its pages, and enticing to everyone so that they may try its features.

How is visitor tracking capable of all these, you might ask. Consider the powerful deeds that visitor tracking is capable of:

* With visitor tracking, you would be able to know where your visitors are coming from. With this knowledge, you could make corresponding adjustments to your marketing campaign. Know what area to target, what kind of people to focus your attention on, and how to win their interest so that they would come to your site.

* With visitor tracking, you would also be able to know the sites your visitors would go to after lingering in yours. You would be able to ascertain an aspect that has eluded even the best socio-oriented marketers in the world: consumer behavior. Visitor tracking would allow you to determine a pattern based on the conduct of online users, and you could make this work to your advantage.

* With visitor tracking, you would know how much time your visitors spend in your site. If their visits last for mere seconds, then such is a telltale sign that something is wrong with your pages, and adjustments need to be made to sustain their interest and make them stay longer.

* With visitor tracking, you’d know which links work best. This is awesome for two reasons:

A. You’ll be able to find out which of your links are producing the best results, and you could pattern subsequent campaigns based on that method; and

B. You’ll be able to increase your Google AdSense revenue by knowing which ad links are actually being clicked and which ones are just collecting dust.

* With visitor tracking, you would be able to know how your visitors go about in every visit to your site. Which pages do they open first? Where do they go next? Where do they stay longer? This is an invaluable knowledge as it would help you tweak your site to lead your visitors where you want them to go, instead of relying on where they would rather proceed.

It has been said that success can only be attained and sustained by constantly improving ourselves to meet every challenge thrown our way. With all the benefits that visitor tracking provides, success won’t be that far away.
